Philippines braces for Typhoon Haiyan

The Philippines are bracing for the arrival of Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms this year, which is expected to make landfall on November 8. It is forecast to strike in the central part of the country, and authorities have warned that Haiyan, locally called Yolanda, could be as devastating as Typhoon Bopha in 2012.
