Smoke Clouds Over Bay Area Darken Oakland Home
An orange haze loomed over Bay Area cities on Wednesday, September 9, as wildfires burning across Northern California produced what the National Weather Service described as “unprecedented” smoke clouds.
Irish fashion designer Averil Blakely, who moved from New York City to Oakland earlier in September, shot this video in the city’s Temescal neighborhood just after midday Wednesday. Blakely first shows the darkened interior of her apartment, before walking outside to show the smoke clouds shrouding Oakland.
