Toronto Animal Services Officer Removes McFlurry Cup From Skunk's Head

A lucky skunk got some help from an animal welfare officer in Toronto after it got its head stuck in a McDonald’s McFlurry cup.

Footage released by Toronto Animal Services on November 13 shows the encounter between an animal welfare officer and the skunk.

The clip shows the officer placing a towel over the skunk, before removing the McFlurry cup. “We realized that the clear plastic ring was also stuck around his neck, which is a very unfortunate situation to be in as his air circulation can be cut off quickly,” a message on Facebook said.

Toronto Animal Services advised members of the public not to dispose of containers with traces of food in them, as they could prove a tempting hazard for animals fattening up for winter.

Luckily for the officer in this case, the skunk refrained from spraying him. Credit: Toronto Animal Services via Storyful
