Wildfires From East and West Threaten Napa Valley

Wind-driven wildfires burning on both the east and west sides of California’s Napa Valley engulfed several homes, at least one winery, and forced thousands to flee their homes on September 27, reports said.

This footage, posted to Twitter, shows the Glass Fire burning in Napa’s St Helena, where multiple patients had to be evacuated from a hospital.

The Glass Fire, sparked in the early hours of Sunday morning, scorched more than 2,500 acres within a day and was zero percent contained later that day.

CBS reported that two other wildfires – the Boysen and Shady fires – erupted in the area on Sunday. Credit: @danielcarapia21 via Storyful
