Where does having a cartoon-famous aunt fall on the grand Hollywood nepo baby scale? Because it turns out Sabrina Carpenter of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” is the niece of Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson on The Simpsons.

Cartwright confirmed the surprising family connection on TikTok on July 9, in response to a fan question. “Yeah, absolutely!” the voice actor replied to a fan who asked if Carpenter was her niece. “Isn’t that amazing?” she continued, adding a snapshot of herself and the singer on the screen. “Maybe you’ve known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for 35-some years—and some of you guys for way less than that—and find out that I’m related to this superstar. She’s pretty amazing.”

Way back in 2021, Sabrina Carpenter gushed about her “legend” aunt during a radio interview. “My whole life that was just, like, the coolest thing in the world to me,” she said, even if she wasn’t actually allowed to watch The Simpsons until she got older. She continued, “It was always really cool growing up when she would pull out the Bart voice if we were at, like, a restaurant. She didn’t do it all the time, but there was a couple times when we couldn’t get a table, and she’d be like, ‘Hey, man, I’m Bart Simpson. What the hell’s going on?'”

Bart Simpson herself responded to the video on X, “This video made my day! 🥰 Love you
@SabrinaAnnLynn! Proud to be your aunt!”

Nepo baby or not, you can’t deny that this is the sweetest connection ever.
