Warrant issued for Punnichy, Sask., man following Regina shooting

Regina police executed a province-wide arrest warrant for a 24-year-old man from the Punnichy, Sask., area wanted for an attempted murder in Regina over the weekend.

Adam Taniskishayinew, also known as Adam Pratt, has short black hair, brown eyes, standing about five feet nine inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He's been charged with attempted murder after a Sunday shooting at a party in Regina sent a 25-year-old man to hospital with a gunshot wound.

Taniskishayinew also faces charges of possession of a firearm and breach of probation. Police have failed to locate him so far.

Police warn the public that Taniskishayinew may be armed and dangerous and if he's spotted, members of the public should not approach him.
