Washington Navy Yard on lockdown: Navy

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Washington Navy Yard, the site of a 2013 shooting rampage that killed 12 people, was put on lockdown on Thursday and shelter in place order has been given, the Navy said, without confirming details of the incident.

A Navy spokesman declined to comment on media reports about shots being fired, saying no further information was immediately available.
