Canelo Alvarez takes centre stage in Las Vegas on Cinco de Mayo weekend once again as he fights Jaime Munguia tonight.

It is an all-Mexican showdown at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Canelo putting his WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF super-middleweight belts on the line against the unbeaten Munguia.

Canelo, undisputed champion at 168lbs, was last in the ring when beating Jermell Charlo in September, and his record now stands at 60-2-2 after almost two decades as a professional.

Munguia is 43-0, after stopping British fighter John Ryder in January, but he now faces by far the toughest test of his career, against a man in Canelo who has been fired up in Vegas this week.

The 33-year-old has gone, quite literally, head-to-head with former promoter Oscar De La Hoya, who he split with in bitter fashion. De La Hoya and Golden Boy represent Munguia, adding a further element of intrigue to this clash between Mexican rivals.
