The pinnacle of college basketball season is finally here as March Madness kicks off this month.
Basketball fans are filling out brackets with their favored college basketball teams and clearing their calendars to watch the most anticipated games.
Though the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament officially starts on March 19, the excitement picks up later this month with the semifinals, dubbed the Sweet 16.
From there, the top teams in the nation will compete in the Elite Eight and the Final Four before the remaining two teams face off for the title of NCAA champion in Glendale, Arizona.
Last year, the UConn Huskies took home the trophy, marking their fifth NCAA championship win, but this year, it’s anyone’s game.
Alternatively, the NCAA women's basketball tournament kicks off with the First Four on March 20 and will conclude with the NCAA championship game on Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. ET on ABC.

March Madness officially kicks off with the First Four on March 19 and March 20, with two games taking place on each night at UD Arena in Dayton, OH. Games are slated to start at 6:40 p.m. ET and 9:10 p.m. ET on each day, and will be broadcast on the truTV channel.
How to watch 2024 March Madness on cable TV?
The NCAA Tournament will be broadcast on four different channels, so set your DVRs accordingly! Since CBS and Turner Sports have the broadcasting rights to the tournament, you’ll want to make sure you have access to CBS, TNT, TBS and truTV through your cable provider.
How to watch 2024 March Madness on streaming?
If you don’t have cable, don’t fret! You can also tune into the games through the March Madness Live app. Additionally, all the games televised by CBS will be available to stream on Paramount+, while games televised by TNT and TBS and truTV can be streamed on Max with the B/R Sports add-on.
