Where are they now? An update on the cast members of Myrtle Beach TV show ‘Myrtle Manor’

Gina Shelley has fond memories of her time on “Welcome to Myrtle Manor.”

The TV show on TLC focused on the eccentric residents of Patrick’s Mobile Home Park in Myrtle Beach for three seasons, ending in 2015.

Shelley didn’t live at the trailer park, but co-owned the hair salon Tangulls with fellow cast member Roy Bullard.

It was located in a pink trailer on the mobile home property and served the residents who lived there. However, when filming was done, fans were allowed to come and get their hair done by Shelley and Bullard.

At times, Shelley was seeing between 500 to 600 people come through the salon door.

And while no one in the “Myrtle Manor” cast still lives at the mobile home park, Shelley continues to work in a hair salon, something she has been doing for nearly 30 years.

Here’s where she, and some of the other cast members, are now.

Gina Shelley

Shelley is still living in Myrtle Beach and works at LaPetite Hair Salon with her mother and daughter.

Shelley got the gig on “Myrtle Manor” when casting agents asked around about potential crazy hairdressers in the area. She was working at LaPetite, which was started by her mother in 1970, when she was cast on the show.

She and Roy opened Tangulls, which was a fully-licensed salon. They also developed a line of hair-care products based on the hair salon.

Shelley would often spend hours filming the show and then would leave to go to the shop to do hair for her clients.

“We were always on,” Shelley said. “That’s what was so exhausting.”

Shelley still gets recognized for her time on the show. “People walk in the door (of her hair salon) and they’re like, ‘Oh my God! I know who you are!’” Shelley said.

The mother of two and her husband also do development and own a real-estate company. She is often asked why she did the show.

“How many people can say they had that opportunity,” Shelley said.

For her, the highlight of filming was the relationships she made, and that rapper and country music artist Jelly Roll did his first video in Tangulls.

Roy Bullard

According to Shelley, Roy now lives in North Carolina with his sister.

She and Roy had been in the hair industry for years, before they became cast members on the show.

Roy was described by the show as a former drag queen, as well as a pageant coach and judge. He had often done Shelley’s daughter’s hair for pageants, she said.

“Our friendship went behind the chair,” Shelley said.

Peggy Beaulieu

Peggy was the oldest resident in Patrick’s Mobile Home Park, having lived there for more than 30 years before she passed away in 2017. She was 82.

Peggy was a survivor of breast cancer, and was quite the character on the show, often seen jumping in the trailer park’s pool.

“Miss Peggy was always in the beauty shop, always carrying on,” Shelley said.

Shelley did Peggy’s hair for her funeral, she said.

Peggy’s obituary noted that she was part of the TV program, adding that she “enjoyed being part of the show.”

Chelsey Stetson

She was known as Chelsey Keller before she met fellow cast member Jared Stetson and they ended up getting married and having a child.

Chelsey and Jared are now divorced and both are living in Ohio. They co-parent their 9-year-old daughter Bellamy.

Chelsey, who hasn’t remarried, now works remotely in finance, doing business loans all over the U.S.

“It’s very rare that I get recognized” for the show, Chelsey said. “It used to be that (Jared and I) always were recognized when together.”

Becky Robertson

The daughter of Cecil Patrick, who owns Patrick’s Mobile Home Park, Becky can still be seen in the office of the family-operated mobile home park.

She still lives at the mobile home park and helps to operate her family’s businesses.

In the episodes, Becky could often be seen riding around in her golf cart and using a bullhorn to get people’s attention.

She still has both, although she no longer uses them.

Robertson is active in the community, helping to organize events to give back, such as the mobile home park’s annual back-to-school bash in August.

Anne Johnson

Known as “Myrtle Manor Anne” on Facebook, the retired teacher, who worked at Myrtle Beach middle and high schools, still lives in Myrtle Beach.

Anne got a spot on the show through her entrepreneur son, Taylor Burt, who she says was hired as a cast consultant. Taylor also was on the show and left after the first season.

Anne met film scouts at Bummz Beach Cafe in 2011 and then got the call she was on the show in 2012. Filming for the first episode started that August.

Anne has spent this year “working to improve my health.” She was diagnosed again with breast cancer in 2019 and had to have a mastectomy, she said. The first time was in 2013 while she was on the show.

“I had a rough year in 2022,” the mother of two said. “I was basically housebound for half of the year. 2023 has been a much better year.”

Anne said she still hears from a lot of people and have become friends with several fans and followers of her Facebook page.

“It’s like a blessing,” Anne said. “You have that opportunity to connect with certain people.”

She’s ready to do some traveling this year and get back to “just normal things,” instead of solely focusing on her health, Anne said.
