"We welcome having you here, including young pups that sit and wait," Goldberg said.

Whoopi Goldberg who took a little time to enjoy The View of her live audience, which included an irresistibly cute chihuahua sitting in the studio crowd on Tuesday morning.

The Oscar-winning Ghost actress' attention was adorably diverted at the top of the talk show, after she noticed an audience member watching the broadcast while accompanied by a tiny companion.

"Hey! Hello, hello! Welcome to The View y'all! Have a seat. We welcome having you here, including young pups that sit and wait," Goldberg said as she looked toward the attendees, which included — as a representative for the show confirmed to Entertainment Weekly — a service dog. "What kind of pup is she or he?"

When the dog's breed was confirmed, cohost and longtime chihuahua fan Sara Haines exclaimed, "Yes! He's a chihuahua!" while throwing her arms in the air.

"She's a chihuahua lover," Goldberg observed, before continuing with the show after one final nod to the dog. "So, welcome puppy dog as well!"

The ladies of The View have a long — sometimes playfully contentious — relationship with dogs, which came to a head in December during the show's first-ever Pooch Pageant, which eventually evolved into The Great Pooch Pageant Ego Massacre of 2023. The segment included each of the cohosts' pets competing in a series of challenges to be named the winner, with Sunny Hostin's pair of dogs taking the title.

Ana Navarro later took umbrage after her beloved and iconic pup, ChaCha Cárdenas, lost the on-air contest — later semi-jokingly alleging fraud over Hostin entering two dogs in the competition.

Elsewhere in View-related dog news, Joy Behar revealed last summer that her dog, Bernie, escaped from her Long Island, N.Y. home in fear over Fourth of July fireworks, and eventually "took a dump" in her house following his safe return.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
