Before the reception, they joined around 25 people, including First Nations representatives, in the drawing room for a ceremony designed to heal the wounds of conflict between indigenous people and the government.

The mother of two complemented her show-stopping gown with the Queen’s diamond maple leaf brooch and her Miu Miu clutch. Her hair was tied in a low chignon, letting the stunning dress take centre stage.

The family landed in Canada on Saturday afternoon, making a sweet arrival as they touched down at Victoria military airport. The couple revealed their children were "super excited" about their trip on their airplane and, as they disembarked, little George was spotted looking fascinated by the different aircraft on the tarmac.

The three-year-old also shared an amusing moment with the Canadian Prime Minister Mr Trudeau who bent down to high-five George. After the little Prince shook his head, Mr Trudeau tried a low-five and then a handshake, both of which George declined.
