Winnipeg man, 65, faces child porn charges

A 65-year-old man is facing several child porn-related charges after an investigation by the Winnipeg police.

The police service's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) and Technological Crimes units searched a downtown residence in the 400 block of Webb Place on Wednesday and arrested the man.

He is facing charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and making child pornography available.

He has been released from custody on a promise to appear in court.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -A U.S. federal appeals court on Friday upheld the conviction of Steve Bannon, a former top adviser to former President Donald Trump, for defying a subpoena from the congressional panel that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
