Winnipeg's revolving restaurant could reopen this fall

A Winnipeg restaurateur wants to breathe new life into the city's unique revolving restaurant, which has been closed for the last few years.

Noel Bernier of Hermanos Steakhouse and Corrientes Pizzeria says he is close to completing negotiations towards reopening the revolving restaurant at Fort Garry Place.

The downtown Winnipeg landmark has been vacant for nearly four years.

Prairie 360, as the new eatery will be called, will feature locally grown food and "a chef-inspired vision of the food that defines Manitoba," Bernier said in a release Thursday.

Bernier said he hopes to open the restaurant this fall.
