“What is this … for me?” she said, turning to a smiling Ogunbowale. “Oh my gosh! What? What is this?” She asked again as the song “When it Comes to You” by Fridayy played over the clip.

Ronay was presented with a bouquet of red roses before she was led by Ogunbowale along a red carpet outdoors lined with more red flowers in front of a giant lit-up sign as the WNBA star got down on one knee.

Ronay added in reaction to the proposal on Instagram, “💍🖤🌹 okay but WHAT IS HAPPENING 😭,” as she shared more photos on Instagram from the special moment in a follow-up post and showed off her new engagement ring.

Ogunbowale shared another video on her Instagram Stories after the proposal of her holding her new fiancée’s hand in the car as she filmed the diamond ring.

Ogunbowale was drafted by the Dallas Wings in 2019.

In August 2023, the basketball star spoke to PEOPLE about the widened reach of the WNBA thanks to streaming of the association's 2023 season on various platforms including CBS/Paramount+, Prime Video and X (formerly known as Twitter).

"So, just the accessibility of the league now and how to watch games is great. It used to be pretty hard. People are loving the accessibility," she added.
