No autopsy for Alberta woman found dead near Yukon hunting camp

Yukon's coroner says the death of a woman who went missing from a hunting camp near Beaver Creek on the weekend is not considered suspicious, and no autopsy will be done on the body.

RCMP in Beaver Creek say a 23-year-old woman was found dead on Sunday, after search crews spent almost a day looking for her.

She was reported missing from a hunting camp on the Upper Nisling River, on Saturday evening.

Coroner Kirsten Macdonald says the woman was from Alberta and was familiar with the area where she went missing. She had been working in Yukon over the summer as a wrangler, according to Macdonald.

Yukon Search and Rescue, the RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Police Dog Services joined in the search that ended Sunday afternoon, when the body was found.
