Young Pokemon Go Entrepreneur Launches Poke Stop Shop Outside Home

It’s a global phenomenon, and this little girl wants a piece of that action.

The entrepreneurial 10-year-old set up a food and drink stand outside her house, offering a range of colour-themed goodies, designed to suit Teams Mystic, Valor and Instinct.

A cup of Gatorade is $1, while Doritos sell for 50c.

The image was shared on Reddit by local Imgur user lsxgto, who wrote: “Girl in my hometown taking advantage of having a PokeStop by her home.”

The picture quickly went viral, notching up more than 5 million views and almost 1,500 comments.

One user said: “Now if she was really smart she would set up a phone charging station ;)”

Another asked: “Is she paying taxes and keeping well maintained books about her business?”

Naturally, this being the internet, things soon turned bad, and the girl was criticsed for everything from her weight to the fact that she didn’t have any yellow cups for the Team Instinct drinks.

A couple of more flattering pictures were swiftly added by the girl’s big sister, aimeebalamie, alongside the caption: “We have a pokestop on our property and she wanted to make some money! So we stepped up the lemonade game.”

Aimeebalamie said: “Thank you so much to the positive responses! That other post really ruffled my feathers. And I’m glad that my personal post is positive. People can really be assholes, but it’s whatever.

“She’s getting 2 news interviews and a shout out on the radio. So f*ck the haters 😁.”

Original poster, lsxgto, responded, saying: “I’m sorry the post I made that got popular had so much negativity. That was not my intention.

“I thought it was a really cool idea that the community would appreciate which most people did. But when people are anonymous they tend to be d*cks to be d*cks. I’m glad she is getting so much recognition. I’m sure this is exciting for her!”
