Zakarpattya governor to become deputy Head of the Presidential Office
Zakarpattya governor, Viktor Mykyta, will become deputy Head of the Presidential Office, announced MP from the Voice faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram on June 3.
According to the MP, on June 4-6, “ministers of infrastructure and regional policy are to be appointed.”
Zheleznyak said that Oleksiy Kuleba will resign from the post of deputy Head of the Presidential Office to become a minister.

“Instead, one of governors will take chair of Kuleba. I would even say from the westernmost oblast,” MP wrote.
Later he clarified that he was talking about the Zakarpattya governor. Zheleznyak added that Lviv governor, Maksym Kozytskyi, is also planned to be appointed to a new position.
“We will find out officially in the evening after meeting of members of Servant of the People with the Presidential Administration,” the MP said.
At the same time, Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of Ukrainian Naftogaz Group, is a candidate for the second ministry.
What is known about current Zakarpattya governor
He was born in Zakarpattya Oblast, graduated from the Zakarpattya Forestry Technical College with a degree in Technology, Economics and Planning of Woodworking.
From 1999 to 2002, Viktor Mykyta worked in his specialty at enterprises, including Ukrposhta. He also worked as a lawyer in a private company. In 2002, he graduated from the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Since 2003, he worked in law enforcement. Mykyta was the Deputy Head of SBU Office in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
Viktor Mykyta was appointed as Zakarpattya governor on Dec. 10, 2021.
