Anthony Hopkins's goodbye to Enderby, B.C. sealed with a kiss
Enderby, B.C., is still buzzing after a visit from Anthony Hopkins, Julia Stiles and Ray Liotta. The trio were in town shooting the upcoming movie Go With Me.
While filming in Enderby, Hopkins met with many people, including local artist Jaime Seward. But when it came time to say goodbye, it was Seward who got a kiss on the cheek.
"I in fact stole the first kiss, with permission. And he turned around and kissed me," Seward told RebeccaZandbergen on the CBC Radio program Radio West.
Seward, who is a huge fan of the Academy Award-winning actor, met him outside Enderby City Hall on Sunday, at an event where the cast and crew were given gifts from the community.
"I think I've seen everything he's ever made … he's so good at everything he does," she said.
When Seward first found out Hopkins was coming to town, she said she never sought him out, and instead started painting a portrait of him.
"I swore I wasn't going to hunt him down. I am an artist and the way I express my heart is to pull out the paint brushes."
Seward's portrait of Hopkins now hangs at city hall. She said she'll hang the photo of her getting a kiss from the actor in her studio.
"I'll keep that forever."
