YouTube sensation Maria Aragon to perform for Will and Kate

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge come to celebrate Canada Day in our nation's capital, they'll be treated to some of the musical talent this country has to offer.

One of the performers is so young, she wasn't even born when Prince William made his last visit to Canada in 1998.

Winnipeg's own mini-Lady Gaga, 10-year-old Maria Aragon, will be performing for Prince William and Princess Catherine alongside other big Canadian names such as Sam Roberts and Great Big Sea.

Aragon, who shot into the spotlight after singing a cover of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," has already performed with the pop superstar, as well as Prime Minister Stephen Harper. She has also appeared on local television shows and national American programs such as The Ellen Degeneres Show and Good Morning America, but this will be her first time in front of royalty.

In addition to Aragon, Parliament Hill will be showcasing coast-to-coast talent for the royal couple and the hundreds of thousands expected to attend the festivities.

Two of the biggest names at this year's celebrations will be Newfoundland-Laborador folk-rock band Great Big Sea, and Quebec pop-rock group The Sam Roberts Band. Both veterans of the Canadian music scene (especially when compared to an artist like Aragon), they have each toured throughout the U.S. and Canada and have released nine and six albums respectively.

Plenty of other bands representing different parts of the country will be joining the Aragon on Parliament Hill. Pop artist Elisapie Issac will help represent Nunavut while folk-singer Jenn Grant will be performing during the noon show.

In addition to enjoying the musical acts, Prince William and Princess Catherine will be able to enjoy a flypast of CF-18s and Snowbirds. Governor General David Johnston will be hosting the couple during their visit, and Prime Minister Harper is expected to join them in Ottawa.

If he does turn up, there's still no word as to whether he and young Ms. Aragon will perform another duet like this:
