Grade 1 student’s wallet returned — with a note from Santa

A Grade 1 student had his lost wallet returned with a special letter from Santa Claus

Reddit user BaconBazinga recently found a Grade 1 student's wallet in a local Walmart's parking lot.

Instead of just mailing the wallet back to its young owner, BaconBazinga decided to have some holiday fun with it — and paired the wallet with a letter from Santa Claus himself.

Before sending it off, he took a photo of the letter and posted it to imgur:

"Merry Christmas! I can't believe another year has gone by so quickly and it's almost time to visit you in [retracted] again," the letter, with the letterhead "From the Desk of Santa, North Pole," read.

"The elves have been very busy this year and I'll be bringing you something very special they created just for you. I'm sure you'll like it!"

"Well, it looks like the elves need me in the toy factory now, so I have to say goodbye. Be sure to leave a little snack for me and the reindeer on Christmas Eve because we get hungry flying to visit so many kids."

"Keep being good!"

"P.S. — While I was making sure you and other girls and boys were being good at Walmart, I found your wallet and thought you would like it back," the letter concluded.

"Love, Santa Claus."

The letter was mailed in a "Christmas-styled" envelope.

"Santa is real and all around us. Be a random act of kindness and see what kind of Santa you could be," he challenged his fellow Redditors.

And in response to those concerned that the young letter recipient might not celebrate Christmas, BaconBazinga explained:

"I put 'Santa, North Pole' in the return address window of the envelope just in case the parents didn't celebrate."
