ReWalk Exoskeleton lets man walk for first time in 20 years

It's a modern-day miracle.

Thanks to technological advancement — specifically Argo's Medical Technologies' ReWalk Exoskeleton — Radi Kaiof is walking for the first time in 20 years.

"I feel normal. I stand and I feel tall."

Dubbed "an alternative mobility solution to the wheelchair for individuals with severe walking impairments, enabling them to stand, walk, ascend/descend stairs and more," the ReWalk Exoskeleton grants the previously wheelchair-bound individual user-initiated mobility.

Users don a lightweight brace support suit. The technology utilizes actuation motors at the joints, motion sensors and a computer system to restore mobility. Crutches ensure safety and security as the individual controls their motion intuitively.

The impressive technology comes provides eight hours of battery life. It's currently only available for institutional use, but will be available for personal use by the end of the year.

Walking doesn't come cheap — $150,000 will get you on your feet — but for individuals like Radi Kaiof, walking is more than worth the splurge.
