Driver escapes injury after tractor trailer catches fire on Highway 410
A truck driver escaped injury after a tractor trailer caught fire on Highway 410 north of Highway 401 early Tuesday.
The Ontario Provincial Police said in a tweet that the fire at around 5:30 a.m. northbound on Highway 410 was slowing traffic in the area. The truck driver had pulled over onto the right shoulder.
The truck fire was creating a visual distraction on the highway but there were no flammable substances on board.
Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services were called to extinguish the blaze.
