Ex-beauty queen's riot sentencing delayed
Sentencing for a former beauty queen who pleaded guilty to looting a downtown London Drugs store during the 2011 Stanley Cup riot has been delayed until next month.
Sophie Laboissonniere expected to hear her sentence in court today, but her lawyer alerted the judge to information that might change his ruling.

Last Friday, Matthew Lennox became the first rioter to be granted a conditional discharge, which means he won’t have a criminal record once his probation period is over.
Lennox was seen walking out of a downtown London Drugs store with merchandise in hand during the 2011 riot.
On Monday, Baker argued Laboissonniere’s circumstances were similar and repeated his request for a conditional discharge. The Crown is seeking a two-month jail sentence.
Laboissonniere was 20 years old when she participated in the Stanley Cup riot, which resulted in charges against 173 people.
The former beauty queen is expected to be sentenced July 9.
