Fatal motorcycle crash shuts Hwy 101 near Windsor, N.S.

A motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon on Nova Scotia Highway 101 near Windsor has claimed the life of a 56-year-old man.

Around 4 p.m. Windsor RCMP responded to the call on Highway 101 near Exit 6.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said it appears that the man riding the motorcycle crossed the centre line and crashed into a guardrail.

He was pronounced dead at the scene

The crash closed the eastbound lane of Highway 101 near Windsor for approximately two hours.

The highway has since reopened.

Police have not identified the victim.
