How to help in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan

Victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines are desperate for help and there are many ways Canadians can contribute.

The typhoon, one of the strongest storms to ever make landfall, hit on Friday, leaving many dead and forcing hundreds of thousands from their homes.

Officials have said 10,000 or more people could be dead but with the slow pace of recovery the official death toll remains at 942 — the number confirmed by the Philippine military.
