Hwy. 400 collision kills man who was changing tire
Police said a man who was out of his vehicle changing a flat tire was killed on Hwy. 400 early this morning after another vehicle collided with his.
OPP investigators told the CBC's Linda Ward that around 3 a.m. the man pulled his vehicle over to the right shoulder on Hwy. 400, near the junction with the 401. As he was changing a flat tire, another vehicle rear-ended his car and the victim ws crushed amid the collision.
The OPP closed the two right lanes of southbound 400, near the area where it becomes Black Creek Drive, to investigate.
Those lanes have since reopened.
