Man thought to be struck by vehicle stumbled into street suffering medical issue, police say

A man in his 40s who was rushed to hospital after reportedly being struck by a vehicle in fact suffered a medical issue and was not struck, police say.

Police were called to the Queen Street and Sherbourne Street East area just after 12:20 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a person struck by a van.

About an hour later, police tweeted that the man had a medical situation, stumbled into the street and collapsed.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition, police say.
