Missing elderly man found after night outdoors
An elderly man who wandered from his home in the Kilbride area of St. John's late Tuesday night has been safely located.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the 83-year-old left his home in the Cemetery Lane area around midnight.
Because of the man's medical condition, police called in the Rovers Ground Search and Rescue Team as well as a canine unit. A police dog found the man around 4 a.m.
Other than sustaining some minor scratches and bruises, he was reported to be fine.
