Jordan McLeod missing for 10 days now believed to be homicide victim
A Prince George man who has been missing for 10 days is now believed to be the victim of foul play, RCMP said Monday, after linking the victim to gunshots.
Jordan McLeod was last seen on Jan. 16th in Prince George and Vanderhoof and reported missing three days later. He hasn't been seen since.
On Jan. 16th, RCMP responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Upper Fraser Road near Highway 16, east of the city and recovered at the scene, evidence that someone had been injured.
However, no victim or suspect were located but police did learn that a vehicle was observed leaving the area immediately after the incident.
RCMP now believe the shooting is linked to McLeod's disappearance and that he has become the victim of foul play.
"Indications are that right off the bat, with shots fired, it leads us to believe someone harmed Jordan," said Cpl. Craig Douglass. "We hold out hope...but we're treating it as a homicide."
McLeod was known to frequent both Prince George and Vanderhoof and was driving a loaner vehicle from Prince George when last seen.
Police are now looking for a missing 2006 Burgundy Malibu with the BC plate number 163 RNA. The vehicle has Quality Assured Collision and Glass decals on both doors.
Police are also looking for a second vehicle related to the investigation, a 2013 grey Chrysler 200 with the BC plate number 693 RVV. The right rear passenger window is broken and covered with yellow tape and cardboard and the right side headlight is burnt out. That vehicle was last seen in Quesnel, BC on Jan 8th.
Police want the public's help in keeping an eye out for these vehicles especially on back roads between and around Prince George, Vanderhoof, and Quesnel.
