RCMP northeast of Edmonton are looking for two men after two violent home invasions on the weekend.
Early Saturday two men kicked down the front door of a home on the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement, near Boyle, and stabbed an 80-year-old man repeatedly after locking two other people in a separate room.
The pair — aged 41 and 20 — tried stealing the man's car, but when they failed they returned to the home and attacked the man again, breaking his nose and elbow.
The two then tricked a 70-year-old woman into letting them inside her home by asking to use her phone.
They assaulted her and then stole her vehicle, a 2005 EXT Cadillac Escalade.
