Tom Power's picks: Jake Bugg, Bobby Bazini and The Strumbellas

Young artists infusing new life into established genres feature in CBC host Tom Power's weekly picks of new music.

First up is British singer-songwriter and musician Jake Bugg, who has just released his latest album, Shangri La. "If you like Bob Dylan, if you like Billy Bragg, you're gonna love the new Jake Bugg," says Power.

Another young man with "a very old soul" is Quebec's Bobby Bazini. Teaming up with Serena Ryder for his newest single, the 24-year-old turns a cover of the Bee Gees chestnut To Love Somebody into something special.

Back with the sophomore album We Still Move on Dance Floors, Toronto folk-pop troupe The Strumbellas offer up "some of the most daring and unique folk music" out of Canada in decades, declares Power.
