1 killed, 2 seriously injured after truck rolls down embankment in SLO County

One person was killed and two were seriously injured after a vehicle rolled down an embankment in the area of Buena Vista Drive and Highway 46 East in Paso Robles on Saturday night.

At approximately 9:33 p.m., the Paso Robles Police Department received a call for a single vehicle rollover, according to a news release. Upon arrival, officers found a white Dodge Ram pickup with three occupants.

One of the occupants was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

The other two were transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The Police Department said alcohol was believed to be a factor in the collision, and none of the truck’s occupants were wearing seat belts.
