11 News tours the Long Quarter Sewage Pumping Station

WBAL-TV 11 News got an inside look Tuesday at the complex system housed inside Baltimore County's Long Quarter Sewage Pumping Station. On average, the pumping station is key to pumping about 7 million gallons of the county's sewage and wastewater a day -- that's the same size as 11 Olympic-size pools. During major storms, one set of pumps can treat 11 million gallons. The tour was part of National Public Works Week, which celebrates the contributions of public works employees.
