Grab a drink and enjoy live music at Old Town Public House’s concert series. Every Friday night, the Cornelius pub features local artists and musicians for a patio performance.

North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival

Location: Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078

Time: 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $10+

Kick off the weekend at the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival. The two-day craft beer celebration will feature performances from nine bands and over 40 breweries that’ll be serving up drinks all weekend. Tickets can be purchased online.

Saturday, May 13

Huntersville Growers’ Market

Location: Veterans Park 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078; Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center parking lot 10030 Gilead Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078

Time: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

The Huntersville Growers’ Market is back for the 2023 season. Shop from local farmers and vendors offering fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, dog treats, crafts and more. If you can’t make it on Saturday, the market will also be open on Tuesdays in the Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center parking lot from 9.a.m.- 1 p.m.

Charlotte Dragon Boat Race And Asian Festival

Location: Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Rd., Cornelius, NC 28031

Time: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Cost: Free

Check out the annual Charlotte Dragon Boat Festival Race and Charlotte Asian Festival. The big event celebrates Asian culture and the over 2,000-year-old traditional Chinese water sport of dragon boat racing. The race is an open competition for anyone 15 or older. In addition to dragon boat races, the event includes live music, dance performances, signature dishes from various Asian countries and more.

Paddle on Lake Davidson

Location: Lake Davidson Nature Preserve, 819-731 Jetton St, Davidson, NC 28036

Time: 2-5 pm.

Cost: $15+

Get outside and spend some quality time out on the water in Davidson. You can reserve kayaks, paddleboards and canoes that can be taken out on Lake Davidson from the Nature Preserve. Lights, Camera, Birkdale

Location: Birkdale Village, 8712 Lindholm Dr #202, Huntersville, NC 28078

Cost: Free

Enjoy a movie night under the stars at Birkdale Village. On select Saturdays, you can catch classic films shown on the big screen in the shopping center’s plaza. This Saturday, the animated film “Sing” will be shown, starting at 7:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first serve.
