15-year-old charged with terroristic threat against Fort Worth ISD high school: officials

A 15-year-old has been charged with making a terroristic threat against a Fort Worth area high school on social media, officials said.

Western Hills High School, located at 3600 Boston Ave. in Benbrook, was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon because of the threat, KDFW-TV reported. School officials notified parents and provided more security during dismissal.

Officers arrested the suspect at his home, according to KDFW. The teen’s identity has not been released because of his age. He was taken to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center.

Western Hills High School is part of the Fort Worth Independent School District.

Threats were made against three Arlington high schools in August, and a student was arrested. Police investigated each incident but said no credible threats were found.
