Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ looking to cast 2-month-old baby for Fort Worth area shoot
A 2-month-old baby is on the casting sheet for Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman,” which is seeking background actors for filming in Fort Worth next week.
Local agency Legacy Casting announced this week that a “Latino/Latina” baby between two and four months old is needed to film scenes for the series. Parents can submit baby photos to Legacy via extras@legacycasting.com and find the filming notice on My Casting File.
Legacy is also looking to cast folks as upscale restaurant goers and as oil field workers, also known as roughnecks, in scenes filming across Fort Worth next week. All background acting roles are paid positions, including $200 a day for the baby.

“Landman” is co-created and executive produced by Sheridan and Christian Wallace. The show, which stars Billy Bob Thornton, is based on Texas Monthly’s podcast “Boomtown” that Wallace wrote and hosted.
The show’s synopsis reads, “Landman is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
“Landman” has opened up casting for filming around North Texas since late last year.
Legacy Casting has been sending out notices for extras, from real-life oil field workers to TCU alumni. In fact, the series actually filmed a track and field scene on TCU’s campus in mid-February.
“Landman” was first announced in February 2021 and will air on Paramount+.
Billy Bob Thornton joined the cast in February 2022. The actor has already been seen at popular celebrity hot spot Joe T. Garcia’s.
Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland and Ali Larter joined the series in May 2023, alongside “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm who joined the cast as production began last month.
“Landman” is the latest from Sheridan, who remains one of the busiest guys in Hollywood. Sheridan’s latest show “Lawmen: Bass Reeves” premiered in November, which filmed scenes in and around North Texas.
