2 more men arrested in deaths of married Bowmanville couple, 5 now charged: police
Two more men have been arrested in the deaths of a married couple in Bowmanville, Ont., last year, bringing the total number of accused persons to five.
Demouy Blair, 22, of Oshawa, and Rocky Steve Stevenson, 37, of Ajax, are both charged with two counts of first degree murder, Durham police said in a news release on Wednesday.
On Feb. 4. last year, police allege three armed, masked suspects arrived at a home on Crombie Street at around 12:45 a.m., the news release said.
The suspects entered the home and allegedly shot both victims, Aram Kamel, 28, and Rafad Alzubaidy, 26, multiple times at close range. Both victims died instantly, police said.
Alzubaidy was six months pregnant at the time of her death, police said.
Rocky Steve Stevenson, 37, of Ajax and Demoy Blair, 22, of Oshawa have both been charged with two counts of first degree murder, Durham police said in a news release on Wednesday. (Durham Regional Police)
Earlier this month, police arrested three men in connection with their deaths.
Illia Ayo and Abdinisar Aden, both 22-year-old men from Toronto, and 21-year-old Emmanuel Ezbon of no fixed address were charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
