Canadian Barbie star Ryan Gosling is responsible for one of the greatest moments in Academy Awards history, performing "I'm Just Ken" at the 2024 Oscars.

Yes, it's very clear that Gosling was in fact a Mouseketeer with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez as a kid.

Sporting a hot pink, bedazzled suit and sunglasses, Gosling got on the mic to serenade the crowd with one of the hottest hits from a movie soundtrack in a long time.

Starting his performance sitting behind costar Margot Robbie, hiding his face behind a cowboy hat, with Robbie laughing hysterically. That's the precise moment we knew it was going to be great.

Then he got on to the stage with Mark Ronson and 65 dancers to continue his performance, punching through pink, wooden boards as the song picks up the tempo.

Eventually, he's carried back and forth on the stage, then hides under a series of giant cutouts of images of the original Barbie head.

But Gosling and Ronson weren't the only stars in the performance, fellow Canadian Barbie actor Simu Liu danced on stage with Gosling, as well as Kingsley Ben-Adir.

Additionally, famed Guns N' Roses guitarist, Slash, gave us an intricate guitar solo to accompany Gosling's performance. The song also features Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen's son, and Foo Fighters’ Josh Freese.

And it all ended with a sing-a-long with the crowd, including Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, America Ferrera and Emma Stone, with Gosling even bringing a camera operator up to the stage.

Of course, Oscars watchers were quick to take to social media to express how much they loved the performance, with reporters in the crowd confirming that the energy was as electric in the room as it seemed watching the infamous moment occur on our screens at home.
