3.7 magnitude earthquake hits southern Quebec, shaking felt in Ontario
At 7:37 a.m. Thursday morning, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake shook the area surrounding Huntingdon in southwestern Quebec, according to Earthquakes Canada.
Several residents in the region say they felt the tremor, including reports of light shaking in parts of eastern Ontario, and as far away as Vermont, U.S.
The epicenter of the earthquake was just 50 km southwest of Montreal.

There was no damage as a result of the earthquake and none was to be expected.
