These are the 4 best steakhouses on Hilton Head Island, according to OpenTable

Whether you’re a long-time local or summer vacationer, many carnivorous individuals like to know where they can get the best steaks in town. So, if you happen to be looking for the best steakhouse on Hilton Head Island, you’re in luck.

OpenTable, a popular online reservation booking site and review site for restaurants, has a list of the best steakhouses you can dine at in Hilton Head. The list includes six establishments overall. However, those that landed in fifth and sixth on the list reside in Bluffton. These establishments include the River House at Montage Palmetto Bluff and The Bluffton Room respectively.

Although the island has many restaurants to choose from depending on your current cravings or preferred diet, these are the four best steakhouses on the island, according to OpenTable.

Crane’s Tavern Steakhouse & Seafood

Ranked in first, Crane’s Tavern can be found at 26 New Orleans Road on the island and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5-9:30 p.m.

This steakhouse destination boasts to only serve the best USDA prime grade steaks on their menu with the largest option to choose from being a 22 oz prime rib. Other “stock yard” options are offered at various sizes and include rib eye, filet mignon, New York strip, sauteed calves liver and smothered meatloaf.

This restaurant’s menu boasts an extensive list of soups and starters, steak selections, salads, a chef’s choice list, the “freshest seafood and fish” as well as a wine list crafted to compliment the menu.

Cranes Tavern is also a recipient of the “Award of Excellence” from the Wine Spectator.

Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse

Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse is second on the list and is an “award winning ‘Churrascaria’ featuring a fresh salad bar with over 30 items, six hot Brazilian flavored dishes and a ‘parade’ of 16 USDA Prime cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and pork carved tableside by our Gauchos,” according to the locale’s website.

Additionally, the restaurant’s many menus display a “worldwide selection of fine wines, cocktails, typical Brazilian mixed drinks and a tasteful selection of desserts.”

Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse is located in The Village at Wexford on the island at 1000 William Hilton Parkway B-6. The establishment is open daily from 5-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 4-9:30 p.m. Saturday and 4-8:30 p.m. Sunday.

The locale has an extensive meat menu, which features beef ribs, Brazilian pork sausage, “Linguica”, chicken drumstick, chicken wrapped in bacon, filet mignon, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, flank steak, garlic steak, house special “Picanha,” lamb chops, leg of lamb, pork ribs, pork parmesan, spicy chicken sausage and a top sirloin.

HH Prime

Rounding out the top three steakhouses, according to OpenTable, is HH Prime. This establishment is located at 23 Ocean Lane inside Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort.

HH Prime is a beachside dining environment that provides a culinary experience for guests and serves the “highest quality USDA Prime Grade beef selections and the freshest seafood, along with decadent dessert creations,” as detailed by the restaurant’s website.

Additionally, live entertainment by local musicians is available on select evenings beginning at 6 p.m.

HH Prime is open daily for breakfast from 6:30-11:00 a.m. and dinner beginning at 6-10 p.m.

Steak options include ribeye, filet mignon, New York strip and veal chop.

Chophouse 119

Chophouse 119 made the OpenTable list in fourth and is located at 28 Shelter Cove Lane in Unit 119 on the island. The establishment is open daily from 5-10 p.m.

The restaurant pays homage to the original New York dining experience, being the steakhouse, according to the Chophouse 119 website. Nostalgic glamour and the ambiance of modern society are listed as the locale’s aesthetic.

Chophouse 119 has extensive menus that overlook a raw bar, salads, seafood, appetizers, steaks and chops, from the market as well as sauces, butters and preparations.

Steak options from the featured menu include a prime aged hanger steak, center cut filet, New York strip, Delmonico ribeye, Tomahawk rib steak, porterhouse for two, two signatures, two wagyu options, veal chop, rack of lamb, center cut heritage breed pork chop and a pastured organic chicken.
