Here are the 5 best Hilton Head restaurants to get a juicy steak in 2024, Tripadvisor says
Whether you’re a long-time local or summer vacationer, many carnivorous individuals like to know where they can get the best steaks in town. So, if you happen to be looking for the best steakhouse on Hilton Head Island, you’re in luck.
Tripadvisor recently released an updated list for January 2024 for the five places you may want to plan your next meal or upcoming Valentine’s Day reservations.
Although the island has many restaurants to choose from depending on your current cravings or preferred diet, these are the five best steakhouses on the island at the start of this year, according to Tripadvisor.
Crane’s Tavern Steakhouse & Seafood
Ranked first overall, Crane’s Tavern can be found at 26 New Orleans Road on the island and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5-9:30 p.m.
The popular steakhouse destination boasts to serve only the best USDA prime grade steaks on their menu, with the largest option to choose from being a 22 oz prime rib. Other “stock yard” options are offered at various sizes and include rib eye, filet mignon, New York strip, sauteed calves liver and smothered meatloaf.
The menu at Crane’s Tavern boasts an extensive list of soups and starters, steak selections, salads, a chef’s choice list, the “freshest seafood and fish” as well as a wine list crafted to compliment the menu.
Cranes Tavern is also a recipient of the “Award of Excellence” from the Wine Spectator.
WiseGuys
WiseGuys, which was listed as second overall, is a modern American restaurant that creates a mix of classic dishes and contemporary fare, while featuring an expansive bar, cosmopolitan lounge, a semi-private dining room and an award-winning wine list of over 200 bottles.
The restaurant’s dining room is accompanied by a modern bar and lounge, which creates an urban restaurant atmosphere.
WiseGuys is open daily at 4:30 p.m. and closes at varying hours. The establishment can be found on the north end of the island at 1513 Main Street.
Cowboy Brazillian Steakhouse
Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse ranked third on the updated list by Tripadvisor and is an “award-winning ‘Churrascaria’ featuring a fresh salad bar with over 30 items, six hot Brazilian flavored dishes and a ‘parade’ of 16 USDA Prime cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and pork carved tableside by our Gauchos,” according to the locale’s website.
The restaurant’s array of menus display a “worldwide selection of fine wines, cocktails, typical Brazilian mixed drinks and a tasteful selection of desserts.”
Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse is located in The Village at Wexford on the island at 1000 William Hilton Parkway B-6. The establishment is open daily from 5-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 4-9:30 p.m. Saturday and 4-8:30 p.m. Sunday.
The locale has an extensive meat menu, which features beef ribs, Brazilian pork sausage, “Linguica”, chicken drumstick, chicken wrapped in bacon, filet mignon, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, flank steak, garlic steak, house special “Picanha,” lamb chops, leg of lamb, pork ribs, pork parmesan, spicy chicken sausage and a top sirloin.
Bowdie’s Chophouse
Fourth in the ranking, Bowdie’s Chophouse on the island brings northern flavors of Bowdie’s steaks and crafted cocktails to Hilton Head for all of the establishment’s guests. The steakhouse offers solely indoor seating, private dining, wine lockers and more.
Bowdie’s Chophouse is open daily beginning at 5 p.m., closing at varying hours, and is located at 11 Palmetto Bay Road.
The esteemed restaurant has a varied menu, complete with steak seafood and more for guests preferred dining as well as extensive cocktail and wine menus to compliment the accompanying cuisine.
HHI Prime
Rounding out the list of top five steakhouses on Hilton Head Island, according to Tripadvisor, is HH Prime. This establishment is located at 23 Ocean Lane inside Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort.
HH Prime is a beachside dining environment that provides a culinary experience for guests and serves the “highest quality USDA Prime Grade beef selections and the freshest seafood, along with decadent dessert creations,” as detailed by the restaurant’s website.
Additionally, live entertainment by local musicians is available on select evenings beginning at 6 p.m.
HH Prime is open daily for breakfast from 6:30-11 a.m. and dinner beginning at 6-10 p.m.
Steak options include ribeye, filet mignon, New York strip and veal chop.
