6 of the best celebrity outfits at Paris Fashion Week, and 5 that missed the mark
Paris Fashion Week is underway, showcasing the latest in menswear and haute couture styles.
Celebrities including Rihanna, Zendaya, Andrew Garfield, and more are in attendance.
While some A-list outfits have been stunning, others have missed the mark.
It seems like every celebrity is in town for Paris Fashion Week.
So far, stars including Rihanna, Andrew Garfield, and Jennifer Lopez have all been photographed attending menswear and haute couture fashion shows in the European city.
But while some have stood out in stunning outfits, others have missed the mark.
Karlie Kloss was a vision in satin at a Louis Vuitton show.
She wore a cream-colored satin puffer from the fashion house, which was embellished with big buttons and lined with black-and-white stripes.
It paired perfectly with her pleated, satin miniskirt and leather boots that sat just below her knees.
Kate Moss attended a Dior show a few days later, though her outfit missed the mark.
She wore black leggings tucked into over-the-knee boots that were scuffed at the bottom and a sleeveless blue top covered with beads.
Though its color looked stunning on Moss, the Dior top was ill-fitting on the model and bunched near the chest.
Lewis Hamilton perfected menswear at the same event.
His Dior ensemble included a brown trench coat, matching wide-leg trousers, and a knit top in a lighter brown shade.
The latter piece had a deep-V neckline that showed some skin, and his chunky sneakers added a street-style edge to his look.
Hamilton also accessorized with orange-tinted sunglasses and silver jewelry.
Andrew Garfield's outfit at the Loewe menswear show was almost perfect.
The top of his Loewe outfit was chic with a two-layer quarter-zip sweater in a vibrant red shade and a gray coat that he wore draped over his shoulders.
But the outfit failed from the waist down. Garfield wore jeans that were too long with excess fabric that gathered around his ankles and shapeless gray slippers that blended in with his pants.
The casual, almost messy look of the latter two pieces didn't match the sharp styles of his top and jacket.
Meanwhile, Conan Gray dazzled in Balmain.
The singer attended a Balmain runway show in a bedazzled jacket and vest from the fashion house. Both pieces were black with silver rhinestone stripes, and the jacket stood out with sharp shoulder pads.
Gray completed the shiny look with a white satin top, black tie, perfectly-tailored black trousers, and leather boots with tall heels and pointed toes.
Zayn Malik's statement jacket didn't work.
He attended the Valentino menswear show in a white undershirt, black tie, dress shoes, and a black jacket decorated with the quote, "We are so old, we have become young again."
In a June 2023 Instagram post, Valentino said the quote was pulled from "A Little Life," the 2015 novel by Hanya Yanagihara.
But his jacket was difficult to read as he moved in front of photographers, and the rest of his outfit wasn't the most memorable.
It would have been fun to see the musician experiment with brighter colors or add more jewelry.
Soo Joo Park mastered winter fashion for the Sacai show.
Her brown, fuzzy jacket was puffed and cropped, which added the perfect texture to contrast her green dress with beaded fringe and a thigh-high slit.
The model also wore black leather boots from Sacai, which sat just below her knees and perfected the outfit's casual yet fashionable aesthetic.
Rihanna's black-and-white outfit would have been better without one accessory.
She arrived at the fashion show in a textured Dior gown, a matching coat wrapped with a leather belt at the waist, and black gloves that complemented her handbag.
She also wore white heels, sparkling anklets, and a diamond necklace that highlighted the low neckline of her dress and jacket.
But unfortunately, the fun outfit was overpowered by Rihanna's massive black baseball cap. The hat didn't match the outfit's glamour, and its oversize shape wasn't the most flattering.
Zendaya was the ultimate power dresser at the Schiaparelli show.
She wore a black Schiaparelli dress with a turtleneck top, 3D pieces that extended down its sleeves, a straight satin skirt with ruching at the waist, and a massive train.
To make the outfit even bolder, Zendaya wore it with Louboutin heels and a futuristic hairstyle that included baby bangs.
The daring look, one of many Zendaya has worn over the years, was styled by Law Roach.
Jennifer Lopez's outfit had fun elements, but it was also a bit messy.
Designed by Schiaparelli, Lopez's custom outfit included black tights, a textured white turtleneck, and a tan belt wrapped loosely around her waist.
She also wore an oversize white coat crafted from 7,000 real rose petals. Though the design was unique and perfect for fashion week, some pieces seemed to be falling off as she entered the show.
The outfit might have also looked better if it wasn't overwhelmed by so many accessories, like golden eye-shaped glasses, statement earrings, and a purse with a face.
For example, removing just the belt or earrings could have turned the look around.
Sabrina Dhowre Elba embodied the quiet luxury trend.
From far away, the model's outfit looked classy and simple with its ankle-length white pants and poncho-style linen top.
But up close, you could see its signature Schiaparelli gold hardware. Ear-shaped clasps held her top together, and her black heels were decorated with keyhole pieces.
