Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée speaks out after jokes during Tom Brady roast. ‘It’s sad’

Aaron Hernandez’sfiancée is speaking out after the late former football player became the butt of several jokes during the live roast of Tom Brady on Netflix.

During the three-hour long event, Hernandez was brought up several times, as was his murder conviction. There were even multiple jokes made in reference to the way the former football player passed away while serving life in prison after he was convicted of first-degree murder.

Hernandez was a go-to target for Tom Brady during his three years as a tight end for the New England Patriots. He was then arrested in 2013 and charged with the murder of Oldin Lloyd, who was dating his fiancée’s sister at the time of his death.

In 2017, while appealing the murder conviction, Hernandez died in prison. His death was ruled a suicide.

Hernandez was diagnosed with CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy, following his death. It was a diagnosis that led to many discussions about how CTE may have affected his behavior while he was alive.

Now, Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, is speaking out following the roast and sharing her disgust.

At the time of his murder conviction and death, Hernandez and Jenkins were parents to their now 11-year-old daughter.

In a brief statement shared with TMZ, Shayanna shared she was disappointed by the jokes.

“It’s sad that I’m trying to raise my children in such a cruel world,” she added.

Shayanna continued, saying that given her daughter is of the age where she can access the internet, she worries about her seeing what was said about her father during the roast.

Shayanna thought Hernandez “should have been off limits.”

Interestingly, while a guest on The Howard Stern Show, one of the comedians involved in the event, Nikki Glaser, revealed that it was collectively agreed they would leave Brady’s three children out of the roast.

It was the only thing off the table for the comedians.

The reason why is because Brady’s kids “didn’t ask for this,” Glaser said. And because they are all still in school, the aftermath of the roast could have been “brutal” for them.
