Alvin Bragg press conference: Watch live as DA addresses Trump conviction

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr. will hold a press conference Thursday evening following the conviction of former President Donald Trump.

The press conference is scheduled to be held at 6:30 p.m. ET at the 8th Floor Training Room in New York, the DA's office said in a release.

The Republican presidential frontrunner was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records, making him the first former president convicted of a crime. Jailtime is a possibility, though he is expected to appeal the jury's decision. Prosecutors initially charged Trump with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

Prosecutors alleged Trump made $130,000 hush money payment to unlawfully interfere in the 2016 presidential election. He is the presumptive Republican nominee expected to rematch President Joe Biden in November's election.
