It's Always Sunny season 16 confirms Netflix UK release date in September
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has announced its UK streaming date for the 16th season, with the show returning to Netflix soon.
The official account for the streaming service confirmed that the sitcom will return to the small screen on September 15. It's currently unknown if the episodes will drop simultaneously or air weekly, but Netflix tends to opt for the former option.
The new season will also debut on the same date for Netflix viewers in Ireland.

The logline for the new season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which consists of eight episodes, reads: "The Gang is ripping straight from the headlines as they yearn for the past and attempt to survive the year, navigating 2023 with 16 years of baggage and a few figures from their past rearing their heads."
The main cast for the season includes Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito, with guest stars including Breaking Bad duo Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
Howerton, who plays Dennis Reynolds on the show, previously addressed speculation that he was set to be cast as Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, revealing that he was yet to receive a call from Marvel.

"Somehow, in my mind, there's no chance that anything that I will ever do will be watched by people, and I don't know what that is, I think it's this sort of perpetual underdog thing that I feel, which makes no sense," he said.
"But, no, look, it would be super fun, and obviously, the director, Matt Shakman, is a very close friend and an absolutely incredible director, so it'd be super fun to work with him again. But ain't nobody called me about that yet, but I would accept that phone call," he added.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 16 will stream on Netflix in the UK and Ireland from September 15.
