The effects of Scandoval have rippled throughout the Bravoverse.

“I think this Scandoval definitely made like the drama on everyone's respective shows, like everything seems like it needs to be more and bigger and crazier,” Summer House’s Amanda Batula told PEOPLE at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Friday. “Now every breakup, people are looking for it to be chaotic and explosive. Sometimes things just don't work out. It's that simple.”

Batula’s castmates Carl Radke’s and Lindsay Hubbard called off their engagement at the end of the summer, and the fallout will air on Summer House season 8.

But unlike Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s breakup, which unfolded while Vanderpump Rules season 10 aired and filmed, Summer House fans won’t see what went down between Radke, 38, and Hubbard, 36, for months.

“You've only seen about one-third of the Vanderpump season when it dropped,” Batula’s husband Kyle Cooke said to PEOPLE. “So it was on air and meanwhile, not all the episodes were locked so they could, the producers could kind of go back and look for those little Easter eggs. This is a little different situation. I mean, you won't see a frame of Summer House season 8 ‘til February.”

In the meantime, Radke, 38, and Hubbard, 37, have been coping privately.

“This isn't happening as real-time as Scandoval,” Cooke, 41, continued. “They're both kind of hurting and they're both trying to figure out the new normal.”

Radke told PEOPLE at BravoCon that viewers “are gonna pick up on and see things from the beginning” that presented issues in his relationship with Hubbard when the new season airs.

“We had a really rough summer and I think people will see that,” Radke said. “But it just shows the gravity of the situation when I really deep down felt like I needed to have a conversation with her about where we were at in our relationship and moving forward with the wedding.”

Radke also denied rumors that he called production to film the breakup ahead of their November nuptials.

“I did not call production to set her up,” he said. “I don't decide what is being filmed on Summer House. I really don't. I just respond to what's being requested.”

Meanwhile, Hubbard claimed to Us Weekly that Radke did exactly that.

“It would’ve been one thing if this conversation happened over the summer during the normal filming schedule,” the publicist said. “But for [Carl] to call up producers and then set up cameras and manipulate me into sitting down [so he could break up with me] after we’d already wrapped is scary. The whole world found out within 30 minutes of me.”

Batula and Cooke told PEOPLE they’ve tried to be there for both Hubbard and Radke without taking sides.

“The goal really for me is just to be supportive the best way that we can,” Batula, 32, said. “We have history with both of them, they're friends of ours. They're going through a really rough patch and to be there however they need in that moment, without picking sides or taking a stance, it's just being there to support our friends.”

Cooke added, “It's a tricky situation to navigate even for us, I can't even imagine Carl and Lindsay, particularly in this environment. We're not trying to sit here and, and nitpick over the details. Trust me, there's plenty of footage that will come and right now it's just trying to be supportive.”
