Andre Noel Denny is still looking for a lawyer

Andre Denny, accused in Raymond Taavel murder, now has 2 lawyers

The man accused of killing Raymond Taavel is looking for a lawyer, yet again. In court Thursday morning, it was revealed Andre Noel Denny has still not found a lawyer.

Just before Denny's trial was to begin in early September, he fired his lawyer. At the time, Denny told the court his lawyer was no longer "trustworthy" and that he would get a lawyer within 10 days.

That case was put over until Sept. 25. Again, Denny had not yet found a lawyer, so the case was put over until today.

Denny will be back in court on Oct. 30.

Both the Crown and judge are concerned by the delays and say the trial is not likely to happen before 2016.

Denny is facing second-degree murder charges.

Taavel was a gay rights activist who died outside Menz Bar on Gottingen Street following an altercation in April 2012.
