Andrea Savage Directing & Co-Penning Untitled Bridesmaids Comedy With ‘I’m Sorry’ EP Joey Slamon For Sony
EXCLUSIVE: Andrea Savage and Joey Slamon, the duo behind TruTV’s romantic comedy series I’m Sorry, are reteaming to write an untitled irreverent Sony feature comedy. Savage is looking to direct.
Pic follows two bridesmaids at destination wedding in a far-off overseas location who both hate their best friend’s fiancé. They make some questionable choices in the hopes of getting him out of the picture. The project is in early development.

Savage and Slamon show-ran three seasons of I’m Sorry before the series was preemptively shuttered mid-production due to COVID-19 and the Warner Bros mergers.
Savage’s acting credits include I’m Sorry, Tulsa King, Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Look Both Ways. She has directed several episodes of I’m Sorry and she’s attached to direct and play a large supporting role in the action comedy, The Set Up, written by Kari Granlund which landed at Paramount Pictures last year.
In addition to writing and producing I’m Sorry for TruTV, Slamon was a writer on Netflix’s Arrested Development and TruTV’s Those Who Can’t.
