An animated comedy about the British royal family is in the works. The show is inspired by the satirical Instagram account run by Gary Janetti, who will also produce, write and star in the show as the lead character, six-year-old Prince George.

The Prince is being brought to the screens by HBO Max and 20th Century Fox and will follow the life of George, who will be "spilling the tea" on his family in each episode, while navigating life as a royal child and a future king. Janetti has previously written for Family Guy and was the executive producer of Will and Grace.

Janetti's wildly popular Instagram account mocks the British royals, with a particular focus on the Duchess of Sussex, through the lens of Prince George.

There is already a star-studded cast on board to voice the main characters with Orlando Bloom signed on as the Duke of Sussex, Condola Rashad as Meghan, Lucy Punch as the Duchess of Cambridge, Tom Hollander as Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Alan Cumming as George’s butler Owen, Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth and Iwan Rheon as the Duke of Cambridge.

"We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know – that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet," Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max told Deadline. "We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square."
